Part of my trip to the Philippines was to facilitate a session on Trainer's Toolkits for the Blended Learning Classroom of the 2010s. I talked about a whole slew of topics that you would be familiar with already - from Blogging (a question on non-profit brought me to Beth's blog - thanks again Beth for the books which were given away as prizes during Q&A), Liveblogging (which I'm cofacilitating at Northern Voice's InternetBootcamp this week), RSS and Wikis (thanks to Lee and Sachi for making it easier to explain) among others.
My impressions? I was lucky to have attentive learners who were like sponges which, as trainers, we'd all want to have in our ideal classrooms. Their questions were critically thought-out and the discussions among themselves when they were putting together a plan of action was nothing short of impressive. I think it was a good opportunity to share our experiences and the discussion proved that online, we are indeed one community and we all speak the same language - the language of being human needing to connect.
